The buyer will also receive a link to purchase the watch, which must be completed within 24 hours.

Is there a buyer’s fee during this sale?

Every timepiece in the Heuer 100 is subject to a buyer’s fee of 15%.

Please note that international customers must also pay any customs fees, taxes, and other similar charges, which will vary based on their country.

Please note that at this time we cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO addresses, or prisons.

IMPORTANT: For customers using Fortiva to check out, we can only ship to the same address connected with the credit card used for the purchase.

What does “as is” mean when I buy a watch?

We are selling these items “as is” – without service or addition of aftermarket parts from our shop in order to preserve them as much as possible. We feel that when it comes to rare vintage items, the buyer should have the option to take the watch to a service center of choice where they can have the authority to add any aftermarket parts or refinish the timepiece if desired. This means these timepieces are final sale and are not sold with our standard limited warranty.

How long does the sale last?

The sale will last 4 days. Each day the highest bid on an item will be published at 12pm EST, with the exception of the last day. On the last day, results will be posted at 9am EST to allow for bids up until 12pm EST that day. Buyers will receive a notification with 2 business days, and at that time will be sent a link to complete the purchase of the watch.

When do I pay?

Buyers will be notified within 2 business days if their offer has been accepted on an item. It is very important that customers pay within 24 hours of receiving this notification or the link will expire.

Will I pay sales tax?

Crown & Caliber is currently obligated to collect sales tax on orders shipped to addresses in Georgia. Each state has individual tax laws that specify what purchases are subject to sales tax, and people who live in a state without sales tax won’t be charged on goods they have shipped.

What types of payment can I use?

We offer secure payment through Paypal or by credit card through Discover, Visa, Mastercard, and AMEX. Also, for international customers and clients working with our sales team directly over the phone, we have the option to do a bank wire transfer.

We also have a financing option through Fortiva. For customers interested in using this option, we recommend securing authorization for a line of credit prior to the start date of the sale in order to expedite the check-out process. Please call this number for assistance: 888-282-7358

IMPORTANT: For customers using Fortiva to check out, we can only ship to the same address connected with the credit card used for the purchase.

Can I return the watch after I purchase it?

All items are being sold “as is” and will be final sale without warranty.

Conditions may not specify mechanical replacements or imperfections to the movement, case, dial, pendulum, separate base(s) or dome. Watches with water resistant cases may have been opened to inspect the movements. However, no warranty is given that the watch(es) are currently water resistant.

We do not warranty nor guarantee the authenticity of any individual component parts, including wheels, hands, crowns, crystals, screws, bracelets, leather bands, and strap hardware, as repairs, restoration, and other subsequent work may have resulted in the replacement of original parts.

Timepieces often contain extremely complex, fine, and rare mechanisms, and as such, buyers should be aware that a general service, battery change, or further repair work—which is the sole responsibility of the buyer—may be necessary. No warranty of representation is made that any watch, clock, or timepiece is in working order and no catalog description of any lot should be interpreted as stating the aforementioned.

Condition reports are only for general guidance and may or will not specify mechanical replacements or imperfections.

Please be advised that certificates are not available unless otherwise specifically stated. Prospective buyers acknowledge the aforementioned paragraphs and accept responsibility for investigating and inspecting to satisfy themselves of the lots in which they may be interested.

What if my watch doesn’t sell?

If your watch doesn’t sell, we will continue to offer your watch in an offline private sale format for a 30-day period to sell the watch at or above the minimum price. If we are unsuccessful, then we will send the watch back to you at our expense.

How do you price my timepiece?

We have a team of highly-trained valuation experts that conduct research on every timepiece to compile current market data on your watch. The minimum price we determine is a very thought-out, calculated value that is priced to sell. For more information on pricing click here.

Is there a minimum that my watch will sell for?

We will not sell the watch below the agreed-to minimum price without your approval

Can I set the minimum price that I will accept?

We highly encourage that you go with the minimum price set by our highly-experienced valuation team. We conduct thorough research on your timepiece to ensure that the price is in line with what’s seen on the market and that your watch is priced to sell.

Do you accept watches outside of the United States?

Yes, we will accept international watches on a case-by-case basis. The seller is responsible for shipping the watch to us—we will cover VAT only. If for some reason we do not sell your watch during the sale or during the following 30-day period, we will ship the watch back to you at our expense.
